Our team is composed of dedicated professionals committed to advancing our mission of promoting sober living and community engagement. Each member brings a unique set of skills and experiences, contributing to our collective success.
Duke founded Sober AF Entertainment to create welcoming, substance-free spaces at live events. Himself in long-term recovery since 1989, he has grown SAFE to serve tens of thousands of attendees across 150+ events with partners including the Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rockies.
Rup is the Founder and CEO of Lumen Brands, a Chicago-based CPG growth company that has generated over $30M in U.S. revenue for international food brands. He brings an entrepreneurial, data-driven perspective and deep commitment to community.
Lacey is one of Colorado's most experienced government affairs professionals with 11+ years advocating at the state legislature. She co-founded Legacy Consulting Colorado and was elected President of the Colorado Lobbyists Association.
Kevin served 16+ years in the Colorado legislature, championing opioid legislation, overdose prevention, and recovery community organizations. He was known as one of the legislature's most bipartisan members before being term-limited in January 2025.
Glenn is a nationally recognized behavioral healthcare business development leader based in Denver. He also creates and hosts "Perspective Matters: This Week in Behavioral Healthcare" and is a faculty speaker at the West Coast Symposium on Addictive Disorders.
Eric is a healthcare revenue cycle management executive specializing in behavioral health billing. He founded Integrity Billing Company and InstantVOB, and previously worked with the Delray Beach Drug Task Force and Sober Home Task Force.
Dr. Carise is a Clinical Psychologist with 35+ years in recovery. She co-founded Recovery Centers of America and has published over 100 articles. She consulted on Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street and appears frequently in national media.
David oversees CHWE's employer-facing programs at CU Anschutz, including the Colorado Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative. He advises over 250 employers annually and represented Colorado at a 2024 White House roundtable on National Recovery Month.
Allison is Executive Director of The Rose House, a premier women's residential treatment program in Colorado. A graduate of the program herself, she joined in 2015 and holds a Colorado state registration as a Certified Addiction Specialist.
Matthew brings executive leadership and lived experience in recovery to SAFE's mission of creating vibrant, substance-free spaces in sports, music, and entertainment culture. He also serves as Executive Director of Paragon Behavioral Health Connections and SafeSide Recovery.
